What Can I Donate to the Store?
We will take practically anything that is clean but there are a few caveats.
Clothing
Clothing must be laundered and in good shape for us to sell it in the store. We do not have facilities to do laundry.
The store will happily accept large items such as sofas if we have room on the floor for them. Please call ahead to see if there is room before bringing the item down.
We cannot accept liquor. If you are donating an old bottle please dump out the alcohol before bringing it down.
Don't bring things that are expired. Don't bring things that have been opened. In most cases even unopened items will still not be used in our store but we will pass them along to other area charities.
Please don't bring old chemicals, such as weed sprays or pesticides. Common household cleaners such as windex, dawn, or pledge are fine as long as they are in their original containers. Volunteers will use them to clean donated items.
Some items, especially collectables or things that can be used for parts, still have value when they are broken. On the other hand if it is an item you bought from a store in the last few years for a couple dollars and it is now broken (not functional) it is probably better in the trash.
Air Filled Items
For items that fill with air such as air beds or swimming inflatables please do not bring us items that you know leak. It is not possible for us to test them before selling and it leaves us with disgruntled customers. Put them in the trash where they belong.
CDs/DVDs
Don't donate copies of CDs or DVDs that you burned. These are pirated copies and we cannot sell them. They just go in the trash.
Adult Entertainment
No items of adult entertainment. We don't sell it. Our volunteers don't want to see and sort it.
